Abstract


ANALYSIS OF THE ELECTRIC FIELD OCCURING IN TRANSMISSION LINES IN HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEMS

The electromagnetic field that occurs in high voltage systems, as the name suggests, consists of two components, electric field, and magnetic field. In this study, the electrical analysis of a transmission line used in a high voltage power system at different times in both normal conditions and hypothetical situations was carried out separately. The analyzed transmission line has been analyzed considering the alternating current values at 380 kV, 3-phase, and 50 Hz frequencies. The conductors used for each phase consist of two conductors with a diameter of 32.1 mm. In addition, there are two earthing cables and a protection line, each 24.01 mm in diameter, at the top of the transmission pole. The section under study covers an area perpendicular to the length of the conductors, taking into account the height of 32 m for each side from the center of the tower (on the X-axis) and 40 m from the ground (on the Y-axis). In this study, modeling and electric field analysis were carried out using ANSYS @ Maxwell simulation tool. The electric field distribution and intensity on the model have been obtained.
