Abstract


Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Applications of Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) with Kenger (Gundelia Tournefortii) Leaf

Since nanoparticle synthesis is environmentally friendly and economical, synthesis by biological methods is increasing day by day. In the present study, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesized with plant source (Gundelia tournefortii) in waste state. The characterization of the obtained AgNPs is characterized by ultraviolet and visible light absorption spectroscopy (UV-vis), thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TGA-DTA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X- EDX) analysis. 18.17 nm spherical AgNPs were observed. These synthesized nanoparticles had a strong effect on gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus, gram-negative Escherichia coli bacteria, and Candida albicans yeast. The minimum inhibitory concentrations for S. aureus, E. coli, and C. albicans were 0.183, 0.0115 and 0.367 respectively. mg / mL has been determined.
